The openSUSE operating system is one of the main Linux distributions available in most languages, including Czech and Slovak. It has good hardware support, especially the laptop support (memory and disk sleep). It contains fewer packages than Debian; however, it is not customary in openSUSE to split programs into as many packages as in Debian, and after adding the Packman community repository, it is also very good as for the amount of applications. In addition, it is possible to search for packages in the openSUSE Build Service and address the community. Novell serves openSUSE like Fedora Red Hat: to test new features. Novell leaves the community with a great deal of freedom, building its professional distributions on their basis.
